Hope that you had a great Christmas!!! We had a quiet Christmas spent with my family and of course the dogs:)
I have some pictures of Mylie and Alice for you. Mylie thinks that everyday is THE best day of her life but she especially loves Christmas day!!!!
It's funny because she did the EXACT same thing this year that she did last year. She would take her present, jump up on the love seat, unwrap it,
then roll around, fall off the loveseat then jump back up, roll around again, fall again and so on and so on. Next year we will have to try to
remember to video her because it is very funny!! Alice is a little calmer opening her presents. She opens them and then plays with them without
falling off of any furniture:) Hugs, Angela

Thank you for your global warming update Angela!!!!

Mylie says NO GLOBAL WARMING in Nova Scotia Canada!!!

Merry Christmas, Ellen!!!! Hope that you are all ready for the big day!! We are actually quite behind this year,
we just got our Christmas tree today!!!! It is snowing now, we are supposed to get around 6" so we may just
have a white Christmas if the snow sticks around that long. Hope that you have a wonderful Christmas! Hugs,
Angela and Collin and lots of Aussie kisses from Mylie:)

HUGE NEWS from NOVA SCOTIA!
Hope that you had fun at your show!! We had a good weekend in PEI. There was the Top Atlantic Puppy Awards Saturday night.
This show was by invitation only to all of the puppy group winners in the 4 Atlantic provinces. Little Miss Mylie pulled off a 4th place
in the herding group for the awards!!!!! This was judged by a panel of judges...Collin was talking to one of the judges the next day
and she said that if it would have been up to just her that Mylie would have placed much higher but we were happy with a 4th!! This
was our last show of the season but I would have to say that Mylie had a good year!!!! Two championship titles, a BPIG win, 4 group
placings in the regular CKC shows and now this...I also just got her champion certificate from the CKC in the mail today:) plus her
CGN certificate!!! Mylie is a very special girl and we love her lots!!! Take care, Angela
CONGRATULATIONS Angela * Collin! AWESOME JOB! We are very proud of Miss Mylie!

NEW CHAMPION!!!!

October 18 2009 * We took Mylie to a different type of show this weekend, in Windsor, Nova Scotia.
This show is held by the Canine Federation of Canada (CFC) and is held using the breed standards from
the FCI and in the same format as the FCI. We had 4 shows with judges from Portugal, Slovenia and France.
Mylie received 4 ratings of Excellent and 3 CACS and is now a CFC champion! It was very nice to get the written
critique, we are not used to that  in the CKC...it is definitely nice to know what the judge was thinking! Angela
TWO NEW CHAMPION TITLES IN 2 MONTHS! CONGRATULATIONS Angela!

Did someone say TRACTOR SHOW???
Mylie takes the family tractor for a spin around the farm in Nova Scotia!
Hope that you had lots of fun at the tractor show! The pictures are great!!! My father would love
to go to something like that! Our family vacations always included a trip to a tractor dealership!!!!
Collin and I were at my parents' farm again today and I took some more pictures of Mylie. She is so photogenic!!
Collin and Mylie are off to Saint John, New Brunswick tomorrow afternoon to try for that last point this weekend!
There is some pretty tough competition but hopefully they will win! Collin has strict orders to call me the second
he is out of the ring to let me know how they are doing!! It is going to be so hard not being there to watch!
Our next show is in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia at the end of the month so if Mylie doesn't get that last point this
weekend I am sure that she will have it before the end of the month! Take care, Angela
Thank you for the update Angela!

DOG SHOWS NEWS from Nova Scotia!
On July 24th, which is actually Mylie's first anniversary of living in Canada, at the Fredericton Kennel Club show
in New Brunswick, Canada, Mylie took best of breed and then went on to take herding group 4 handled by Collin!!
This was under judge Donna Cole. Mylie was the only class dog to take a group placing in the herding group. The
judge commented to Collin that she thought that Mylie had a beautiful sidegait and that she also loved her head.
On Saturday, July 25th, Mylie took best of breed once again under judge Denys Janssen. We are one point away
from a new champion!!! Sunday, July 26th Alice took best of breed under judge Rita Walker.

We did see a moose along side of the road on our way to the show grounds this morning!! This is the first time that
Collin saw a moose in the wild and only the second time for me. I told Collin that it was a sign that Mylie was going
to win today because you like moose so much.   Angela
WOW Angela! CONGRATULATIONS!
AND amazing that you saw a real live moose!
We have a guest room here named the moose room!
We have beautiful moose pieces given as gifts from friends around the world!

AMAZING!!!!!

Congratulations to all of the winners this weekend, you should all be very proud!!!
Just thought that I would share our news from the weekend. Mylie and Alice had
a show on Prince Edward Island this weekend and with very tough competition Alice
took reserve winners bitch on Saturday and Mylie took best of opposite sex today!
Mylie is now over half way to getting her Canadian Kennel Club championship! Angela
NICE WINS Angela! We are very proud of the girls!

June 29 - GOOD DOG SHOW NEWS from Nova Scotia!
Just thought that I would share our weekend news. Mylie and Alice had a show in Canning, Nova Scotia, Canada this weekend.
Both girls were very good and had lots of compliments from the judges and both girls ended up with a BOS on Saturday and a
Best of Breed on Sunday (it was a 4 show weekend). The judge that we had Sunday morning was absolutely in love with Mylie!
He saw her when he came into the show first thing in the morning and didn't take his eyes off of her while Collin had her on the
grooming table. Both girls were very good at the show and met a lot of new friends both human and canine and of course gave
out lots and lots of kisses as they usually do! Hope that everyone else had a great weekend too!  Angela
CONGRATULATIONS Angela & Colin!  Job well done!

Just thought that I would share some pictures of the girls that we took at my parents' farm in one of their fields.
The dogs had such a great time running through the field! They love to run, you should feel the muscle on these girls!
Take care, Angela

June 6th 2009 --- NEWS from Nova Scotia!
Just thought that I would share our news from the weekend. We had a show yesterday in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
and Mylie took Reserve Winners Bitch and today little Miss Alice took Reserve Winners Bitch. This show was held by
the local kennel club that Collin and I belong to and each year we have a competition for members only for the best
conformation dog...this year Collin and Mylie won!! Collin and Mylie will now have their names engraved on a huge
trophy as the winners for 2009. The judge absolutely loved Mylie, she even found us later to talk to us about Mylie
and had lots of great things to say about her. Mylie definitely gets lots and lots of attention at the shows and she
loves it!! No one goes away without a Mylie kiss!! Angela
SUPER CONGRATS Angela & Colin!
Please give Miss Mylie a big hug from her Tapple family!

May 14 - Birthday girls in Nova Scotia!
I can't believe that our beautiful red girlie is a year old already!!! Thank you so much Ellen and Amy for allowing Mylie
to come to Canada with us, we love her so much! Collin and I have been working very hard with our girls to get ready for
